Long Range Desert Group by W. B. Kennedy Shaw Written in 1945 by the L.R.D.G.'s Intelligence Officer, this book remains the primary source to consult for information about this legendary group.
The Long Range Desert Group: Providence Their Guide by D.L.Owen Major-General Owen would eventually command the L.R.D.G.  Along with Shaw's book, an essential resource for L.R.D.G. history, including their exploits after the war in North Africa was over.
In Rommel's Backyard: A Memoir of the Long Range Desert Group by Alastair Timpson, edited by Andrew Gibson-Watt Memoir of life behind the lines with the L.R.D.G. by the commander of G (Guards) Patrol.
The Raiders:  Desert Strike Force by Arthur Swinson Ballantine's Illustrated Campaign History WWII Book #2.  Rather limited introduction to both the S.A.S. and the L.R.D.G., but with many excellent pictures.
Stirling's Desert Raiders by Virginia Cowles The story of David Stirling, his formation of the S.A.S. and their work along with the L.R.D.G.
Popski's Private Army by Vladimir Peniakoff History of the P.P.A. straight from it's creator.
Fighting with Popski's Private Army by Bob (Park) Yunnie A first hand account written by Popski's second-in-command.  Only the first 5 chapters deal with the North African campaign.
Rommel by Desmond Young An in-depth biography of the legendary Afrika Korps commander who was constantly bedeviled by the exploits of the various desert raiding groups.
